The Vancouver Island University Students’ Union (VIUSU) represents the over 8000 student members attending Vancouver Island University. It is run by an elected board of directors all of whom are students at VIU. Working for the board is an organisation of seven full-time staff members and anywhere between 15-20 part-time staff. The aim of VIUSU is to represent students’ interests to all levels of government, VIU and the greater community. In addition to this foundational advocacy work is a priority to provide services that make members lives easier and events to make them more enjoyable.
