Inspiring a New Generation of Leaders at the Summit

Leadership Is Essential

We all know the importance of capable leadership, especially having all witnessed outstanding successes and alarming failures during the pandemic. We also know that public service has become a treacherous minefield of personal attack and unrelenting demand.

We must inspire a new generation of leaders! Join us at the 14th Annual State of the Island Economic Summit, taking place virtually on October 27th to the 29th, for this ‘Leadership is Essential’ panel. Hear stories and career reflections of young and young-starting elected officials from all four levels of government.

This panel session will feature:

Kristi Rivait, Co-founding Director, Scale Collaborative

Terry Beech, MP for Burnaby North—Seymour, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard

Lana PophamBC Minister of Agriculture

Erralyn Thomas, Councilor, Snuneymuxw First Nation

Robert Filmer, Councillor, Town of Qualicum Beach
