Integrating Technology and Innovation @ the Summit!
The popular Tech & Innovation Showcase will be expanded and embedded throughout the 2022 ‘State of the Island’ Economic Summit this year.

The Tech & Innovation Showcase will feature four 90-minute sessions with presentations from 12 companies covering the topics of Food Systems, Climate Solutions, Health Care Technologies, and Business Model Innovation. Each presenting company will deliver a 5-minute pitch with 15-20 minutes of audience participation, led by relevant moderators and subject matter experts in a fireside chat format.

The Showcase is being presented by the Innovation Island Technology Association, Premier Sponsor for the 2022 Economic Summit. As a longstanding contributor to the Summit, as presenters, moderators and hosts of the popular Tech Showcase, Innovation Island is partnering with VIEA to raise awareness of the importance of innovation in our transforming economy.

“A real highlight of my year, over the past several years, has been hosting the Tech Showcase at VIEA’s Economic Summit. Aside from certain industry-based events, most Startups are working hard behind the scenes, rarely having the opportunity to tell their stories to a broader audience. Technology and Innovation are fully embedded into our economy so we’re thrilled to kick this up a few notches at this year’s Summit” – said Graham Truax, Executive Director and EiR at Innovation Island.

The Summit program features several streams of interest:

If you are interested in Food Production…

  • sessions include Food Entrepreneurs sharing their vision, Food Industry Experts identifying opportunities, The Future of Finfish Aquaculture, Food Systems Tech & Innovation;

If you are interested in Climate Solutions…

If you are interested in Health Care…

“As our economy transforms, opportunities abound for innovation. The Summit is a meeting place for ideas where decision-makers can connect for insights leading to results.” – George Hanson, Senior Advisor and former VIEA President
