The Government of Canada has recently granted a Foreign Trade Zone designation (FTZVI) to the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance. FTZVI will function as the ‘go to’ resource to promote and facilitate international trade on Vancouver Island. It is unique amongst the eleven FTZ Points across Canada as the only broad regional designation and the only designation awarded to a non-government organization.
How will Vancouver Island’s new Foreign Trade Zone designation work and what will it do for industry? And what will the new USMCA mean to our economy?
