The Future of Electric Transportation and Its Impact on Vancouver Island

Join these panelists at the State of the Island Summit this fall to engage in thought and discussion of what massive conversion to electric vehicles will look like…

With the BC government’s announcement last month of seven new charging stations now open on Vancouver Island designed to reduce “range anxiety” for driverselectric vehicles (EV) are becoming more of a viable travel option for Island and BC residents.

Many experts are predicting that EV adoption and charging infrastructure will reach a tipping point this year as North American drivers enter the age of EVs without compromise. Infrastructure access and awareness will join supply as key talking points in the e-mobility conversation – and we will see a massive proliferation of useful, universal EV infrastructure.

What will be the impact for Vancouver Island communities on this growth in EV adoption?
