Collaboration at the BC Hydro Interpretive Centre
THE COURIER-ISLANDER   OCTOBER 30, 2013

Chamber staff will occupy the BC Hydro Interpretive Centre on Tuesdays starting Nov. 12. The Interpretive Centre was created to make room for the $1 billion BC Hydro project that will begin next year to replace the John Hart Generating Station. The centre features large panels displaying the past, present and future of the John Hart hydroelectric facilities and property, as well as a touch screen display that clearly depicts the Campbell River generating system, along with the John Hart facility and construction-related videos.

This is another example of the close collaboration between the Chamber and BC Hydro. The two organizations have worked closely together since the announcement of the project and partnered together to develop the Chamber’s Major Projects Portal, along with Vancouver Island Construction Association and Vancouver Island Economic Alliance.
