Rising Tide Boat Works is building a boatyard dedicated to marine electrification, here on Vancouver Island. Our mission is to accelerate the shift to electric power by lowering the barrier to entry for developing, building, and working on electric boats. We have secured an industrial waterfront lot in Ucluelet, which we are redeveloping into a facility that will offer office, shop, yard and dock space, including a 100-tonne, fully electric travel lift, to businesses and organizations aligned with our mission. Our goal is to attract marine technology companies, marine trades, and others already contributing to, or interested in, marine electrification. The facility will also offer short-term leasable space for R&D, test deployments and related activities.
