YQQ is pleased to announce the launch of Island Good, a branding concept developed by the Vancouver Island Economic Association (VIEA), to aid in identifying Vancouver Island products.
“With hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, YQQ can offer unparalleled exposure for locally produced products.” says CVAC CEO, Fred Bigelow. “The Island Good brand is on point with YQQ’s mission to: Provide safe and efficient air service facilities, and enable the economic development of the Comox Valley. It just makes sense to take the lead on taking this program beyond the grocery retailer model.”
To celebrate the launch, YQQ’s On the Fly Café and Mid-Island Gifts have invited a number of their “Island Good” suppliers to feature tastings and special displays. Local songwriter Luke Blu Guthrie will perform, and the artists of Art Alchemy will be on hand to provide a sneak peak of their new “Alchemy at the Airport” exhibit, in advance of next weekend’s Central Island Studio Tour.
