New This Year at the Summit – Action Labs!
This year we are harnessing the power of collaboration like never before at the Summit. Join us for two workshops: Regional Food Security and Community Design and Development.
These action labs will create an environment that allows for in-depth discussion. Attendees will be asked to pre-register and familiarize themselves with a provided overview for the topic ahead of time. This pre-reading will provide a baseline understanding and incubator for thought, allowing participants to dive right into the heart of the matter on Oct 25 and 26th.
We can’t wait to see how these Action Labs will transform discussions into action at the 2023 VIEA Summit! Stay tuned for more updates and registration details.
Session Spotlight: Circularity in Action: How to turn Waste into Wealth
We’re thrilled to offer a sneak peek into our circular economy session, Circularity in Action: How to turn Waste into Wealth
The promise of a sustainable and regenerative future depends on the ability of organizations moving from a linear to a circular economic model. The circular economy emphasizes designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use for longer, and regenerating natural systems. It offers a pathway to decouple economic growth from resource consumption, thereby fostering sustainable prosperity. This session will start with some foundational definitions and principles, explore local resources for accelerating and incubating circularity, and share some live case studies of organizations at different stages of the journey. This panel discussion aims to host an engaging conversation, inspire new ideas, and foster a deeper understanding of the circular economy’s transformative potential.

Panelists:
